When Justin Vernon left the folk ridden band DeYarmond Edison to create the incredibly successful Bon Iver, the rest of the guys from DeYarmond went on to create a far more psychedelic folk group called Megafaun. They have released two albums so far, 2008's Bury The Square and 2009's Gather, Form & Fly, both of which are pretty well put together, and the brilliant "Kaufman's Ballad" comes from the latter of the two:

Nick Thorburn, leader of Islands and one-third of the long broken up band the Unicorns, is planning on releasing a free downloadable album called I Am An Attic that should be released this year. The song is a haunting reminder of the Unicorns very short and great legacy and we hope that the rest of the album is as interesting as the gloomy track released here.. Man does this track make us miss the Unicorns badddd:
