There is a music festival called Sasquatch Music Festival that takes place annually at the Gorge in Washington and tonight is the line-up announcement party that features Atlas Sound, Surfer Blood (who will most likely be playing the festival themselves), and some other musical guests.
With technology and the ideas within it becoming more and more fucking wicked every day we are watching the show live and streaming through the crazy world of blogs/twitter. Atlas Sound's set is just finishing up, with Surfer Blood to follow, and we will list the acts that get named as their names are named. greenT will be attending the 2010 festival and we are going to cover great bands under the control of dancing, alcohol, drugs and lovable chaos as it occurs at the bitter end of May.. but for now, enjoy the rest of the show RIGHT HERE and here are the artists (so far) at 2010 Saquatch Music Festival:
Although the line-up looks like it was compiled in 2007 ..hrmmm.. there are a bunch of great acts (ie. Ween, Pavement, Why?, No Age, Massive Attack, Simian Mobile Disco, Broken Social Scene, LCD Soundsystem, the Mountain Goats etc.) and crowd pleasers like the National, My Morning Jacket, MGMT, Vampire Weekend, Dirty Projectors, the xx.. but generally the line-up consists of a ton of bands that everyone has seen years ago... (fuck Kid Cudi/Wale and get Freddie Gibbs/Jay Electronica!)
Guess that booze and those unprescribed sweet nothings might come in extra handy that weekend.
